Last night, in honor of “Pi Day” the youth at church hosted our midweek dinner and dessert time prior to worship filled with all kinds of pies: chicken pot pie, shepherd’s pie, taco pie, and many other creative pie-types of creations. And oh, the dessert table was loaded with all kinds of sweet and chocolaty goodness!
In honor of last night (or maybe I’m still recovering from the sugar high), this week’s blog is heading in a very different direction than my typical posts. In honor of “Pi Day” yesterday the following video made its way into the Facebook world and I couldn’t resist but passing it along to you. It seeks to answer, “If Pi were put to music, what would it sound like?” This video is truly amazing!
Wow, what an incredible video! I have heard from various places that music is largely based upon math, but this video certainly brings the two together in a unique way.
The God we follow is one who is interested in the details of our life. He is the Master Conductor, writing and leading the symphonic masterpiece that can be seen as one looks into His Word, all revealed to us through the Holy Spirit. His Word is the score, speaking into our life the truth of God’s grace and life. This is a song that began at the genesis of time as the Lord breathed life into all things, interweaving in and out and through all existence. This song found a voice on the cross as the Word became flesh, crashing into and changing everything with three little words, “It is finished!”
So have that slice of pie, and as you do, think of the beautiful song God is at work to bring about in your life. You are His special treasure, loved and forgiven, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Remembering his fork,
N
